town party

the town of sapphire every year has a cute little 4th of july festival. there always is a chance to win a vacation (this year to myrtle beach) by purchasing a little rubber ducky and then at the end of the day they race them down the creek. ours has yet to win. i really thought with hadley's good luck it would be our year...maybe next time!

treasure hunt

my parents are too awesome. not only did my mom read the first of the books in the series that wyatt likes to read, but her and my dad decided to make an entire treasure hunt based around the storyline. my dad drew up an authentic "warriors" map to find the captured cat leader. they had to follow clues and travel through all the "clan" areas. they had a blast. best part was finding the treasure in the chest at the end!!
